Greetings, friend.

I have struggled with mental-health issues over the years. Mostly crippling social anxiety and disabling ADHD that made it impossible to succeed.

Professionals and peers have helped me a lot by supporting and coaching me. Those relationships helped me change my life. That is how I learned the power of helping conversations, relationships and community.

But I have been helping myself too by doing mindful-walking almost everyday. What I love about mindful-walking is that it’s something I could do no matter how broke, alone or unwell I was… it has rewired my brain to be grounded, calm, focused and resilient.

In 2024 I started running my first walking-group: MelbWalks. It focused on long walks in scenic places. With 10-50 people coming to our events on average I considered it to be quite a success. This experience taught me that (1) walking is an extremely popular activity, and (2) walking is a great activity for talking with people.

Social and scenic walks taught me a lot and helped improve my self-confidence – but scenic, social walks wasn’t my passion. I wanted to help people the same way people helped me.

That’s how I came to the idea for Wellbeing-Walking. It’s a walking group that acts as the supportive community many people need, focusing on:

  • Walking-therapy
  • Mindful-walking
  • Coaching-walks
